Bharti Infratel slips on profit booking

Bharti Infratel fell 2.79% to Rs 204.15 at 12:52 IST on BSE on profit booking after the stock rose 6.79% in the preceding six trading sessions to Rs 210 on 27 March 2014, from a recent low of Rs 196.65 on 20 March 2014.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 9.39 points, or 0.04%, to 22,204.98.

On BSE, so far 1.42 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 1.81 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 209.50 and a low of Rs 203 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 214.70 on 7 March 2014. The stock hit a record low of Rs 126.05 on 28 August 2013.

 

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 27 March 2014, rising 21.39% compared with the Sensex's 5.85% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 24.70% as against Sensex's 4.82% rise.

The large-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 1888.93 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

On a consolidated basis, Bharti Infratel's net profit surged 61.6% to Rs 410.50 crore on 4% growth in net sales to Rs 2731.10 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q3 December 2012.

Bharti Infratel, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, is one of the largest tower infrastructure providers in India. With Bharti Infratel's towers and its 42% interest in Indus, the company has an economic interest in the equivalent of 82,813 towers and 163,370 co-locations as of 31 December 2013.
