Amara Raja Batteries announced that P Lakshmana Rao, an Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee, had tendered his resignation from the Board of Directors of the Company, due to preoccupation. Lakshmana Rao was associated with the Company for more than two decades.The Board of Directors at its meeting held on 27 January 2015, inter alia, accepted his resignation and relieved him as a director of the Company with effect from 27 January 2015 and placed on record its sincere appreciation of the services rendered by him as director during his tenure.
