Bombay Dyeing gains after bulk deal

A bulk deal of 9.59 lakh shares was struck on the Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company counter at Rs 86 per share at 10:48 IST on BSE today, 25 April 2013.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 162.11 points or 0.85% to 19,341.47.

On BSE, 11.87 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 1.54 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 90.55 and a low of Rs 86 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 139.85 on 1 January 2013. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 78.69 on 15 May 2012.

 

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 23 April 2013, rising 1.65% compared with the Sensex's 2.37% rise. The scrip also underperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 30.01% as against Sensex's 4.23% fall.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 41.30 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company reported net loss of Rs 26.86 crore in Q3 December 2012, lower than net loss of Rs 52.11 crore in Q3 December 2011. Net sales rose 11.8% to Rs 471.07 crore in Q3 December 2012 over Q3 December 2011.

Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company manufactures cotton textiles and non-woven fabrics.
