The broad market depicted weakness in early afternoon trade. The two key benchmark indices viz. the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, and the 50-unit CNX Nifty languished in negative zone. At 12:17 IST, the Sensex was off 28.59 points or 0.11% at 25,173.31. The decline for 50-unit CNX Nifty CNX Nifty was higher than the Sensex's fall in percentage terms. The Nifty was currently off 15.80 points or 0.21% at 7,639.25. On BSE, there were almost two losers against every gainer. 1,544 shares declined and 793 shares rose. A total of 80 shares were unchanged. The BSE Mid-Cap index was down 1.18%. The BSE Small-Cap index was down 0.73%.
