Chemfab Alkalis surged 5.37% to Rs 156.95 at 14:32 IST on BSE after the company said that manufacturing facility at Sricity, Andhra Pradesh, has been commissioned successfully.
The announcement was made after market hours on 24 December 2018.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 183.05 points or 0.52% at 35,653.20
On BSE, so far 946 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 634 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 157.85 and a low of Rs 151.70 so far during the day.
Chemfab Alkalis said that the PVC-O project, at manufacturing facility at Sricity - Tada, Andhra Pradesh, has been commissioned successfully on Saturday, 22 December 2018 for manufacturing and selling of PVC - O pipes and fittings.
Chemfab Alkalis reported net loss of Rs 7.03 crore in Q2 September 2018 as compared to net profit of Rs 6.36 crore in Q2 September 2017. Net sales fell 2.27% to Rs 43.57 crore in Q2 September 2018 over Q2 September 2017.
