The Mainland China equity market closed session mixed on Wednesday, 25 April 2018, on profit booking following sharp gains in previous trading session. Mainland market rose 2% on Tuesday trading after reports the central bank could make more cuts to the reserve requirement ratio and signs the government is willing to ease its tightening campaign to avoid an overly sharp economic slowdown. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.35%, or 10.96 points, to 3,117.97 but the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, climbed 0.27%, or 4.85 points, to 1,809.26.
