The Mainland China equity market advanced to hit 4-month highs on Thursday, 06 April 2017, as investors continued to chase stocks which could benefit from the government's launch of a massive new economic zone near Beijing. The blue-chip CSI300 index rose 0.3% to 3,514.05 points, while the Shanghai Composite Index added 0.4% to 3,281.00. Shenzhen's Component Index rose 0.3 per cent to 10,656.2 and the Nasdaq-like ChiNext edged up 0.06 per cent to 1,944.2.
