Consumer Durables stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index increasing 109.41 points or 0.42% at 25980.94 at 09:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, V I P Industries Ltd (up 1.21%), Bajaj Electricals Ltd (up 1.08%),Titan Company Ltd (up 0.88%),Metropolis Healthcare Ltd (up 0.84%),Rajesh Exports Ltd (up 0.34%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (up 0.3%), and Voltas Ltd (up 0.03%).
On the other hand, Blue Star Ltd (down 1.52%), Whirlpool of India Ltd (down 0.66%), and TTK Prestige Ltd (down 0.35%) turned lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 90.45 or 0.24% at 38214.96.
The Nifty 50 index was down 45.05 points or 0.4% at 11314.85.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 5.41 points or 0.04% at 12953.56.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 11.88 points or 0.27% at 4370.89.
On BSE,671 shares were trading in green, 756 were trading in red and 68 were unchanged.
