Delta Corp drops on profit booking

Delta Corp lost 2.49% to Rs 99.70 at 10:36 IST on BSE, with the stock declining on profit booking after recent upmove.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 55.03 points, or 0.2%, to 27,151.71

On BSE, so far 6.25 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 6.85 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 104.70 and a low of Rs 99.50 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 127.70 on 7 January 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 59 on 1 October 2013.

 

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 22 September 2014, rising 13.8% compared with 2.98% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 9.83% as against Sensex's 8.37% rise.

The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 22.98 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.

Shares of Delta Corp were on a roll recently, advancing 17.05% in four trading sessions to Rs 102.25 on 22 September 2014 from Rs 87.35 on 16 September 2014.

On a consolidated basis, Delta Corp reported net loss of Rs 19.57 crore in Q1 June 2014 as compared to net profit of Rs 12.05 crore in Q1 June 2013. Net sales dropped 78.5% to Rs 55.71 crore in Q1 June 2014 over Q1 June 2013.

Delta Corp is the largest and only listed company within the gaming and hospitality segment in India.
