Delta Corp heads north after good Q2 result

Delta Corp rose 1.06% to Rs 229.80 at 09:28 IST on BSE after consolidated net profit surged 34.14% to Rs 43.26 crore on 13.47% rise in total income to Rs 153.89 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q2 September 2016.

The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 16 October 2017.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 7.82 points, or 0.02% to 32,625.82. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index was up 25.91 points, or 0.16% to 16,076.14.

On the BSE, 2.31 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with average daily volumes of 8.07 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 232.40 and a low of Rs 228 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 236.60 on 11 October 2017. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 94.85 on 27 December 2016.

 

The mid-cap company has equity capital of Rs 26.71 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.

Delta Corp is engaged in the casino (live, electronic and online) gaming industry in India. The company owns and operates three offshore casinos in Goa out of a total of six offshore casino licenses and also one land based casino. The total number of gaming positions in Goa is about 1400.
