Eicher Motors leads gainers in 'A' group

Eicher Motors spurted 6.68% to Rs 3,263 after hitting a record high of Rs 3,285 in intraday trade today, 14 May 2013. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. Eicher Motors surged after the company's 50:50 joint venture with the Volvo Group - VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) reported expansion in market share to 13.9% in Q1 March 2013 from 11.1% in Q1 March 2012.

Eicher Motors' consolidated net profit declined 10.6% to Rs 97.94 crore on 3.2% growth in net sales to Rs 1708.60 crore in Q1 March 2013 over Q1 March 2012. The result was announced after market hours on Monday, 13 May 2013.

 

Reliance Communications galloped 5.77% to Rs 111.85 and was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Motherson Sumi Systems jumped 5.11% to Rs 208.65 and was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. The company announces FY13 results on 17 May 2013.

UCO Bank surged 4.53% to Rs 75 and was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock halted two-day 2.91% fall from a recent high of Rs 73.90 on 10 May 2013 to Rs 71.75 on 13 May 2013.

United Phosphorus rose 3.96% to Rs 151.05 and was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock rose on volume of 3.05 lakh shares, higher than average daily volume of 2.35 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
