Emco slumped 5.1% to Rs 40 at 12:34 IST on BSE after net profit declined 13.1% to Rs 0.86 crore on 33.3% growth in net sales to Rs 239.47 crore in Q3 December 2014 over Q3 December 2013.
The Q3 result was announced after market hours yesterday, 21 January 2015.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 78.88 points or 0.27% at 28,967.74.
On BSE, so far 68,000 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 1.23 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 42.15 and a low of Rs 39.70 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 23.05 on 14 February 2014. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 53.50 on 19 June 2014.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 21 January 2015, advancing 11.36% compared with the Sensex's 5.54% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, jumping 11.95% as against Sensex's 8.7% rise.
