FII inflow crosses Rs 15000 crore in December

Net inflow of Rs 783.80 crore on 26 December 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 783.80 crore on Thursday, 26 December 2013, data released by Securities & Exchange Board of India (Sebi) after trading hours today, 27 December 2013, showed.

The net inflow of Rs 783.80 crore on Thursday, 26 December 2013, was a result of gross purchases Rs 2661.30 crore and gross sales Rs 1877.50 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 785.10 crore into the secondary equity markets on Thursday, 26 December 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2661.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 1876.30 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex garnered 41.88 points or 0.2% to settle at 21,074.59 on that day, its highest closing level since 23 December 2013.

 

There was a net outflow of Rs 1.30 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Thursday, 26 December 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 15552.90 crore in this month so far (till 26 December 2013). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 8116.10 crore in November 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 112602.80 crore in 2013 so far (till 26 December 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.

There are a total of 1,742 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
