Net inflow of Rs 820.40 crore on 17 October 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 820.40 crore on Thursday, 17 October 2013, compared with inflow of Rs 1147.10 crore on Tuesday, 15 October 2013. The stock market was closed on Wednesday, 16 October 2013, on account of Bakri Id.
The net inflow of Rs 820.40 crore on Thursday, 17 October 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3937.70 crore and gross sales of Rs 3117.30 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 821.50 crore into the secondary equity markets on 17 October 2013 which was a result of gross purchases Rs 3937.70 crore and gross sales Rs 3116.20 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 132.11 points or 0.64% to settle at 20,415.51 on that day, its lowest level closing since 10 October 2013.
There was a net outflow of Rs 1.10 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Thursday, 17 October 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 6946.80 crore in this month so far (till 17 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13057.80 crore in September 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 80174.20 crore in 2013 so far (till 17 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
