FIIs continue buying

Net inflow of Rs 408.20 crore on 26 September 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth net Rs 408.20 crore on Thursday, 26 September 2013, compared with net inflow of Rs 435.40 crore on Wednesday, 25 September 2013.

The net inflow of Rs 408.20 crore on Thursday, 26 September 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3560.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 3152.30 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 303.80 crore into the secondary equity markets on 26 September 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3455.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 3151.70 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had advanced 37.61 points or 0.19% to settle at 19,893.85 on that day, its highest closing level since 24 September 2013.

 

There was a net inflow of Rs 104.40 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Thursday, 26 September 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 105.10 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.60 crore.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 13228.40 crore in September 2013 so far (till 26 September 2013). FIIs sold shares worth a net Rs 5922.50 crore in August 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 73398 crore in 2013 so far (till 26 September 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.

There are a total of 1,747 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
