Net inflow of Rs 799.90 crore on 22 October 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 799.90 crore on Tuesday, 22 October 2013, compared with net inflow of Rs 1001.60 crore on Monday, 21 October 2013.

The net inflow of Rs 799.90 crore on Tuesday, 22 October 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2572 crore and gross sales of Rs 1772.10 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 833.20 crore into the secondary equity markets on 22 October 2013 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2572 crore and gross sales of Rs 1738.80 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 28.92 points or 0.14% to settle at 20,864.97 on that day, its lowest closing level since 17 October 2013.

 

There was an outflow of Rs 33.30 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 22 October 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 10471.80 crore in October 2013 so far (till 22 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13057.80 crore in September 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 83699.30 crore in 2013 so far (till 22 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.

There are a total of 1,744 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
