Inflow of Rs 1262 crore in two trading sessions on 28 March and 1 April 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1262 crore in two trading sessions on Thursday, 28 March 2013 and Monday, 1 April 2013.

The net inflow of Rs 1262 crore during two trading sessions on 28 March and 1 April 2013 was a result of gross purchases Rs 8069.50 crore and gross sales Rs 6807.50 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 1107.80 crore into the secondary equity markets during the two trading session on 28 March and 1 April 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 7909.50 crore and gross sales Rs 6801.80 crore.

 

There was a net inflow of Rs 154.30 crore into the category 'primary market & others' during two trading sessions on 28 March and 1 April 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 160 crore and gross sales Rs 5.70 crore.

FIIs have bought shares worth Rs 9124.30 crore in March 2013. FIIs had purchased shares worth Rs 24439.30 crore in February 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth net Rs 56884.40 crore in 2013 so far (till 1 April 2013). FIIs bought shares worth net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.

There are a total of 1,758 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
