Net inflow of Rs 250.20 crore on 4 April 2014

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 250.20 crore on Friday, 4 April 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 893.50 crore on Thursday, 3 April 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 250.20 crore on Friday, 4 April 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3110.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 2860.40 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 250.40 crore into the secondary equity market on Friday, 4 April 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3110.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 2860.20 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had tumbled 149.57 points or 0.66% to settle at 22,359.50 on that day, its lowest closing level since 28 March 2014.

 

There was an outflow of Rs 0.20 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on Friday, 4 April 2014.

FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 5142.40 crore in April 2014 so far (till 4 April 2014). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 20077.20 crore in March 2014.

FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 27338.20 crore in this calendar year so far (till 4 April 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013 calendar year.

There are a total of 1,714 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
