Net inflow of Rs 148 crore on 28 April 2014
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 148 crore on Monday, 28 April 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 257.20 crore on Friday, 25 April 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 148 crore on Monday, 28 April 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3596.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 3448.30 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 91.30 crore into the secondary equity market on Monday, 28 April 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3536.10 crore and gross sales of Rs 3444.80 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had fallen 56.46 points or 0.25% to settle at 22,631.61 on that day, its lowest closing level since 17 April 2014.
There was a net inflow of Rs 56.70 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on Monday, 28 April 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 60.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 3.50 crore.
FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 8847.50 crore in April 2014 so far (till 28 April 2014). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 20077.20 crore in March 2014.
FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 31043.10 crore in this calendar year so far (till 28 April 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013 calendar year.
