Net inflow of Rs 464.50 crore on 2 May 2014
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 464.50 crore on Friday, 2 May 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 579.60 crore on Wednesday, 30 April 2014. The stock market was closed on Thursday, 1 May 2014, on account of May Day.
The net inflow of Rs 464.50 crore on Friday, 2 May 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2863.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 2399 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 407.70 crore into the secondary equity market on Friday, 2 May 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2792.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 2384.70 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had declined 13.91 points or 0.06% to settle at 22,403.89 on that day, its lowest closing level since 16 April 2014.
There was a net inflow of Rs 56.80 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on Friday, 2 May 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 71.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 14.40 crore.
FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 1044.10 crore in May 2014 so far (till 2 May 2014). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 9602.40 crore in April 2014.
FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 32842.10 crore in this calendar year so far (till 2 May 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013 calendar year.
