Net inflow of Rs 328.50 crore on 5 May 2014

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 328.50 crore on Monday, 5 May 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 464.50 crore on Friday, 2 May 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 328.50 crore on Monday, 5 May 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2235.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 1906.70 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 332.20 crore into the secondary equity market on Monday, 5 May 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2235.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 1903 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had risen 41.23 points or 0.18% to settle at 22,445.12 on that day, its highest closing level since 29 April 2014.

 

There was an outflow of Rs 3.70 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on Monday, 5 May 2014.

FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 1372.60 crore in May 2014 so far (till 5 May 2014). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 9602.40 crore in April 2014.

FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 33170.60 crore in this calendar year so far (till 5 May 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013 calendar year.

There are a total of 1,708 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
