Net inflow of Rs 76.10 crore on 6 May 2014

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 76.10 crore on Tuesday, 6 May 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 328.50 crore on Monday, 5 May 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 76.10 crore on Tuesday, 6 May 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1718.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 1642.40 crore. The entire net inflow of Rs 76.10 crore on Tuesday, 6 May 2014 pertained to secondary equity market transactions. The S&P BSE Sensex had gained 63.30 points or 0.28% to settle at 22,508.42 on that day, its highest closing level since 28 April 2014.

 

FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 1448.70 crore in May 2014 so far (till 6 May 2014). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 9602.40 crore in April 2014.

FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 33246.70 crore in this calendar year so far (till 6 May 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013 calendar year.

There are a total of 1,709 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
