Net outflow of Rs 553.10 crore on 26 August 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 553.10 crore on Monday, 26 August 2013, compared with two-day net outflow of Rs 1349.80 crore on Thursday, 22 August 2013 and Friday, 23 August 2013.
The net outflow of Rs 553.10 crore on Monday, 26 August 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2259.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 2812.70 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 552.20 crore from the secondary equity markets on 26 August 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 2259.60 crore and gross sales Rs 2811.80 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had gained 38.69 points or 0.21% to settle at 18,558.13 on that day, its highest closing level since 16 August 2013.
There was an outflow of Rs 0.90 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Monday, 26 August 2013.
FIIs have offloaded shares worth a net Rs 3571.40 crore in August 2013 so far (till 26 August 2013). FIIs sold shares worth a net Rs 6086.10 crore in July 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 62521 crore in 2013 so far (till 26 August 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
