Net outflow of Rs 1064.20 crore on 28 August 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 1064.20 crore on Wednesday, 28 August 2013, compared with net outflow of Rs 1366.30 crore on Tuesday, 27 August 2013.

The net outflow of Rs 1064.20 crore on Wednesday, 28 August 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4065.70 crore and gross sales of Rs 5129.90 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 1066.50 crore from the secondary equity markets on 28 August 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 4063.30 crore and gross sales Rs 5129.80 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had gained 28.07 points or 0.16% to settle at 17,996.15 on that day, its highest closing level since 26 August 2013.

 

There was an inflow of Rs 2.30 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Wednesday, 28 August 2013.

FIIs have offloaded shares worth a net Rs 6001.90 crore in August 2013 so far (till 28 August 2013). FIIs sold shares worth a net Rs 6086.10 crore in July 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 60090.50 crore in 2013 so far (till 28 August 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.

There are a total of 1,752 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
