Net outflow of Rs 1044.20 crore on 12 June 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 1044.20 crore on Wednesday, 12 June 2013, higher than outflow of Rs 823.90 crore on Tuesday, 11 June 2013.

The net outflow of Rs 1044.20 crore on Wednesday, 12 June 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2522.80 crore and gross sales of Rs 3567.10 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 1044 crore from the secondary equity markets on 12 June 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2522.80 crore and gross sales of Rs 3566.80 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had shed 101.87 points or 0.53% to settle at 19,041.13 on that day, its lowest closing level since 18 April 2013.

 

There was an outflow of Rs 0.30 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Wednesday, 12 June 2013.

FIIs have sold shares worth Rs 905.30 crore in June 2013 so far (till 12 June 2013). FIIs bought shares worth Rs 22168.60 crore in May 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 82299.80 crore in 2013 so far (till 12 June 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.

There are a total of 1,759 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
