Net outflow of Rs 103.80 crore on 17 June 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 103.80 crore on Monday, 17 June 2013, compared with outflow of Rs 309.80 crore on Friday, 14 June 2013.

The net outflow of Rs 103.80 crore on Monday, 17 June 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1693.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 1796.90 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 103.30 crore from the secondary equity markets on 17 June 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1693.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 1796.50 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had jumped 147.94 points or 0.77% to settle at 19,325.87 on that day, its highest closing level since 10 June 2013.

 

There was an outflow of Rs 0.50 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Monday, 17 June 2013.

FIIs have sold shares worth Rs 1871.30 crore in June 2013 so far (till 17 June 2013). FIIs bought shares worth Rs 22168.60 crore in May 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 81333.80 crore in 2013 so far (till 17 June 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.

There are a total of 1,756 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
