Net outflow of Rs 458.70 crore on 19 June 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 458.70 crore on Wednesday, 19 June 2013, compared with outflow of Rs 562.40 crore on Tuesday, 18 June 2013.

The net outflow of Rs 458.70 crore on Wednesday, 19 June 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1987.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 2446.30 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 458.90 crore from the secondary equity markets on 19 June 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1987.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 2446.30 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had advanced 22.42 points or 0.12% to settle at 19,245.70 on that day, its highest closing level since 17 June 2013.

 

There was an inflow of Rs 0.10 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Wednesday, 19 June 2013.

FIIs have sold shares worth Rs 2892.40 crore in June 2013 so far (till 19 June 2013). FIIs bought shares worth Rs 22168.60 crore in May 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 80312.70 crore in 2013 so far (till 19 June 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.

There are a total of 1,760 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India
