Net outflow of Rs 1747.30 crore on 21 June 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 1747.30 crore on Friday, 21 June 2013, compared with outflow of Rs 2136.30 crore on Thursday, 20 June 2013.
The net outflow of Rs 1747.30 crore on Friday, 21 June 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2825.80 crore and gross sales of Rs 4573.10 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 1734 crore from the secondary equity markets on 21 June 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2824.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 4558.40 crore. Key benchmark indices edged higher in volatile trade on Friday, 21 June 2013 on firm European stocks and higher US index futures. The S&P BSE Sensex advanced 54.95 points or 0.29% to 18,774.24 on that day, its highest closing level since 19 June 2013.
There was a net outflow of Rs 13.30 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Friday, 21 June 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 14.70 crore.
FIIs have sold shares worth Rs 6776 crore in June 2013 so far (till 21 June 2013). FIIs bought shares worth Rs 22168.60 crore in May 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 76429.10 crore in 2013 so far (till 21 June 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
