Net inflow of Rs 552.10 crore on 4 October 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth net Rs 552.10 crore on Friday, 4 October 2013, compared with net inflow of Rs 1166 crore on Thursday, 3 October 2013.
The net inflow of Rs 552.10 crore on Friday, 4 October 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2332 crore and gross sales of Rs 1779.90 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 579.20 crore into the secondary equity markets on 4 October 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2332 crore and gross sales of Rs 1752.90 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex advanced 13.88 points or 0.07% to 19,915.95 on that day, its highest closing level since 24 September 2013.
There was a net outflow of Rs 27.10 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Friday, 4 October 2013, which was a result of zero gross purchases and gross sales of Rs 27.10 crore.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 1107.30 crore in October 2013 so far (till 4 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13057.80 crore in September 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 74334.70 crore in 2013 so far (till 4 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
