Net inflow of Rs 762.20 crore on 10 October 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth net Rs 762.20 crore on Thursday, 10 October 2013, compared with net inflow of Rs 324.20 crore on Wednesday, 9 October 2013.

The net inflow of Rs 762.20 crore on Thursday, 10 October 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2334.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 1571.90 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 762.60 crore into the secondary equity markets on 10 October 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2334.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 1571.60 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex garnered 23.65 points or 0.12% to settle at 20,272.91 on that day, its highest closing level since 19 September 2013.

 

There was a net outflow of Rs 0.40 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Thursday, 10 October 2013, which was a result of zero gross purchases and gross sales of Rs 0.40 crore.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 3230.30 crore in October 2013 so far (till 10 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13057.80 crore in September 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 76457.70 crore in 2013 so far (till 10 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.

There are a total of 1,748 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
