Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 164.50 crore in two trading sessions on Wednesday, 10 April 2013 and Thursday, 11 April 2013.
The net inflow of Rs 164.50 crore during two trading sessions on 10 and 11 April 2013 was a result of gross purchases Rs 6254.10 crore and gross sales Rs 6089.60 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 159.30 crore into the secondary equity markets during the two trading sessions on 10 and 11 April 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 6248.40 crore and gross sales Rs 6089.10 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 5.20 crore into the category 'primary market others' during two trading sessions on 10 and 11 April 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 5.70 crore and gross sales Rs 0.50 crore.
FIIs have sold shares worth Rs 42 crore in April 2013 so far (till 11 April 2013). FIIs had purchased shares worth Rs 9124.30 crore in March 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth net Rs 55580.40 crore in 2013 so far (till 11 April 2013). FIIs bought shares worth net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
There are a total of 1,762 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
