Net inflow of Rs 1519.30 crore on 11 March 2014

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1519.30 crore on Tuesday, 11 March 2014, compared with net outflow of Rs 3743.20 crore on Monday, 10 March 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 1519.30 crore on Tuesday, 11 March 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4395 crore and gross sales of Rs 2875.70 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 1520 crore into the secondary equity market on Tuesday, 11 March 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4395 crore and gross sales of Rs 2875 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had tumbled 108.41 points or 0.49% to settle at 21,826.42 on that day, its lowest closing level since 6 March 2014.

 

There was an outflow of Rs 0.70 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on Tuesday, 11 March 2014.

FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 3523.70 crore in this month so far (till 11 March 2014). FIIs bought shares worth net Rs 1404.30 crore in February 2014.

FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 5642.30 crore in this calendar year so far (till 11 March 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013 calendar year.

There are a total of 1,721 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
