Two day net outflow of Rs 1349.80 crore on 22 and 23 August 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 1349.80 crore during two trading sessions on Thursday, 22 August 2013 and Friday, 23 August 2013.

The two day net outflow of Rs 1349.80 crore on 22 and 23 August 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 6961.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 8311 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 1328 crore from the secondary equity markets on 22 and 23 August 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 6961.30 crore and gross sales Rs 8289.30 crore.

 

There was an outflow of Rs 21.80 crore from the category 'primary market others' on 22 and 23 August 2013.

FIIs have offloaded shares worth a net Rs 3018.30 crore in August 2013 so far (till 23 August 2013). FIIs sold shares worth a net Rs 6086.10 crore in July 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 63074.10 crore in 2013 so far (till 23 August 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.

There are a total of 1,758 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
