Net outflow of Rs 726.30 crore on 3 September 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 726.30 crore on Tuesday, 3 September 2013, compared with net inflow of Rs 501.80 crore on Monday, 2 September 2013.
The net outflow of Rs 726.30 crore on Tuesday, 3 September 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2078.70 crore and gross sales of Rs 2805 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 725.60 crore from the secondary equity markets on 3 September 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 2078.70 crore and gross sales Rs 2804.30 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had crashed 651.47 points or 3.45% to settle at 18,234.66 on that day, its lowest closing since 28 August 2013.
There was an outflow of Rs 0.80 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 3 September 2013.
FIIs have offloaded shares worth a net Rs 324.60 crore in September 2013 so far (till 3 September 2013). FIIs sold shares worth a net Rs 5922.50 crore in August 2013.
