Net outflow of Rs 25.90 crore on 23 September 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 25.90 crore on Monday, 23 September 2013, compared with net inflow of Rs 1336.80 crore on Friday, 20 September 2013.
The net outflow of Rs 25.90 crore on Monday, 23 September 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2816.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 2842.50 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 61.80 crore from the secondary equity markets on 23 September 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2780.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 2842.10 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had tumbled 362.75 points or 1.79% to settle at 19,900.96 on that day, its lowest closing level since 17 September 2013.
There was a net inflow of Rs 35.90 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Monday, 23 September 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 36.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.40 crore.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 12353.60 crore in September 2013 so far (till 23 September 2013). FIIs sold shares worth a net Rs 5922.50 crore in August 2013.
