Two-day net outflow of Rs 237.30 crore on 13 and 16 December 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 237.30 crore during two trading sessions on Friday, 13 December 2013 and Monday, 16 December 2013.
The net outflow of Rs 237.30 crore during two trading sessions on Friday, 13 December 2013 and Monday, 16 December 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5508.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 5745.90 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 218.40 crore from the secondary equity markets on and 13 and 16 December 2013 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5507.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 5725.80 crore.
There was a net outflow of Rs 18.90 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Friday, 13 December 2013 and Monday, 16 December 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 20.10 crore.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 8317.20 crore in this month so far (till 16 December 2013). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 8116.10 crore in November 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 105367 crore in 2013 so far (till 16 December 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
There are a total of 1,744 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
