Outflow of Rs 29.80 crore on 2 April 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 29.80 crore on Tuesday, 2 April 2013.

The net outflow of Rs 29.80 crore on Tuesday, 2 April 2013, was a result of gross purchases Rs 1988.70 crore and gross sales Rs 2018.50 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 20.50 crore from the secondary equity markets on Tuesday, 2 April 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 1988.70 crore and gross sales Rs 2009.20 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had jumped 176.20 points or 0.93% to settle at 19,040.95 on that day, its highest closing level since 18 March 2013.

 

There was an outflow of Rs 9.30 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 2 April 2013.

FIIs have bought shares worth Rs 1232.20 crore in April 2013 so far (till 2 April 2013). FIIs had purchased shares worth Rs 9124.30 crore in March 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth net Rs 56854.60 crore in 2013 so far (till 2 April 2013). FIIs bought shares worth net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.

There are a total of 1,759 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
