Net outflow of Rs 414.70 crore on 11 April 2014

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 414.70 crore on Friday, 11 April 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 411.20 crore on Thursday, 10 April 2014.

The net outflow of Rs 414.70 crore on Friday, 11 April 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3793.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 4208 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 340.60 crore from the secondary equity market on Friday, 11 April 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3793.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 4133.80 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had shed 86.37 points or 0.38% to settle at 22,628.96 on that day, its lowest closing level since 7 April 2014.

 

There was an outflow of Rs 74.10 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on Friday, 11 April 2014.

FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 6938.40 crore in April 2014 so far (till 11 April 2014). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 20077.20 crore in March 2014.

FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 29134.20 crore in this calendar year so far (till 11 April 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013 calendar year.

There are a total of 1,714 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
