Net inflow of Rs 12.60 crore on 21 January 2014

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 12.60 crore on Tuesday, 21 January 2014, compared with inflow of Rs 403 crore on Monday, 20 January 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 12.60 crore on Tuesday, 21 January 2014, was a result of gross purchases Rs 2861.30 crore and gross sales Rs 2848.70 crore. Secondary market purchases accounted for the entire inflow on Tuesday. The S&P BSE Sensex had risen 46.07 points or 0.22% to settle at 21,251.12 on that day, its highest closing level since 16 January 2014.

 

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 2714.20 crore in this month so far (till 21 January 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 16085.80 crore in December 2013.

FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013.

There are a total of 1,724 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
