Net inflow of Rs 957.80 crore on 12 September 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth net Rs 957.80 crore on Thursday, 12 September 2013, higher than net inflow of Rs 547.80 crore on Wednesday, 11 September 2013.
The net inflow of Rs 957.80 crore on Thursday, 12 September 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3778.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 2820.40 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 953.80 crore into the secondary equity markets on 12 September 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3774.10 crore and gross sales of Rs 2820.30 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 215.57 points or 1.08% to settle at 19,781.88 on that day, its lowest closing level since 6 September 2013.
There was a net inflow of Rs 4 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Thursday, 12 September 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4.10 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.10 crore.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 6372.20 crore in September 2013 so far (till 12 September 2013). FIIs sold shares worth a net Rs 5922.50 crore in August 2013.
