Net inflow of Rs 1211.60 crore on 29 October 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1211.60 crore on Tuesday, 29 October 2013, higher than net inflow of Rs 657.50 crore on Monday, 28 October 2013.
The net inflow of Rs 1211.60 crore on Tuesday, 29 October 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2912 crore and gross sales of Rs 1700.40 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 1167.70 crore into the secondary equity markets on 29 October 2013 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2867.80 crore and gross sales of Rs 1700.10 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had jumped 358.73 points or 1.74% to settle at 20,929.01 on that day, its highest closing level since 9 November 2010.
There was a net inflow of Rs 43.90 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 29 October 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 44.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.30 crore.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 14678.30 crore in October 2013 so far (till 29 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13057.80 crore in September 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 87905.80 crore in 2013 so far (till 29 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
