Net inflow of Rs 469.90 crore on 23 January 2014

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 469.90 crore on Thursday, 23 January 2014, higher than net inflow of Rs 288.80 crore on Wednesday, 22 January 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 469.90 crore on Thursday, 23 January 2014, was a result of gross purchases Rs 3212.20 crore and gross sales Rs 2742.30 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 470.10 crore into the secondary equity market on Thursday, 23 January 2014, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 3212.20 crore and gross sales Rs 2742.20 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 35.99 points or 0.17% to settle at 21,373.66 on that day, a record closing high.

 

There was an outflow of Rs 0.10 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Thursday, 23 January 2014.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 3472.90 crore in this month so far (till 23 January 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 16085.80 crore in December 2013.

FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013.

There are a total of 1,724 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
