Net inflow of Rs 388.80 crore on 13 February 2014
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 388.80 crore on Thursday, 13 February 2014, higher than net inflow of Rs 157.10 crore on Wednesday, 12 February 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 388.80 crore on Thursday, 13 February 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2468.90 crore and gross sales of Rs 2080.10 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 371.90 crore into the secondary equity market on Thursday, 13 February 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2451.90 crore and gross sales of Rs 2079.90 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 255.14 points or 1.25% to settle at 20,193.35 on that day, its lowest closing level since 8 October 2013.
There was a net inflow of Rs 16.90 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Thursday, 13 February 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 17 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.10 crore.
FIIs have sold shares worth net Rs 2012.50 crore in this month so far (till 13 February 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 714.30 crore in January 2014.
FIIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 1298.10 crore in this year so far (till 13 February 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013.
