Five stocks departing NSE's F&O segment witness selling pressure

Five stocks to be excluded from the derivatives segment on the National Stock Exchange fell by 2.14% to 8.94% at 14:45 IST on BSE.

Punj Lloyd (down 8.94%), Shree Renuka Sugars (down 5.90%), Opto Circuits (India) (down 5.75%), Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals (down 3.13%) and Gujarat State Petronet (down 2.14%), edged lower.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 260.60 points, or 1.43%, to 17,985.44.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has decided to remove five stocks viz. Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals, Gujarat State Petronet, Opto Circuits (India), Punj Lloyd and Shree Renuka Sugars from the futures and options (F&O) segment.

Contracts for new expiry months in these five securities will not be issued on expiry of existing contract months, NSE said. However, the existing unexpired contracts of expiry months August 2013, September 2013 and October 2013 would continue to be available for trading till their respective expiry and new strikes would also be introduced in the existing contract months, NSE said.
