FMCG shares fall

FMCG stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index falling 90.39 points or 0.81% at 11023.74 at 13:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd (down 3.17%), Emami Ltd (down 3.1%),DFM Foods Ltd (down 3%),Parag Milk Foods Ltd (down 2.75%),ADF Foods Ltd (down 2.71%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Nath Bio-Genes (India) Ltd (down 2.54%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries Ltd (down 2.47%), Dabur India Ltd (down 2.36%), Globus Spirits Ltd (down 2.35%), and Hindustan Unilever Ltd (down 2.19%).

On the other hand, Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd (up 6.63%), Venkys (India) Ltd (up 5%), and KRBL Ltd (up 4.99%) moved up.

 

At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 535.6 or 1.75% at 31138.21.

The Nifty 50 index was up 145.4 points or 1.62% at 9138.2.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 206.71 points or 1.96% at 10750.36.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 65.41 points or 1.76% at 3781.56.

On BSE,1563 shares were trading in green, 738 were trading in red and 159 were unchanged.
