Foreign exchange reserves decline by US$1.66 billion in the week ended 01 November 2013

India's foreign exchange reserves fell for the week ended 01 November 2013 by US$1.66 billion to US$281.29 billion. Foreign currency assets, one of the key components of reserves, fell by$894 million to $253.61 billion.

Gold reserves dropped by US$538 million to US$21.23 billion. On the weekly basis, the Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) fell by US$46.9 million to US$4.42 billion, while India's reserve position with the International Monetary Fund was down by US$177.9 million to US$2.03 billion.
