Net inflow of Rs 3425.95 crore on 6 June 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 3425.95 crore on Friday, 6 June 2014, which was higher than their inflow of Rs 1419.43 crore on 5 June 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 3425.95 crore on Friday, 6 June 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 10074.03 crore and gross sales of Rs 6648.08 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 1307.67 crore into the secondary equity market on Friday, 6 June 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 7955.43 crore and gross sales of Rs 6647.76 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had jumped 376.95 points or 1.51% at 25,396.46 on that day, a record closing high for the index.

 

There was a net inflow of Rs 2118.28 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on Friday, 6 June 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2118.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.32 crore.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 9055.10 crore in this month so far (till 6 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth Rs 14006.15 crore in May 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 54859.40 crore in this calendar year so far (till 6 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.90 crore in 2013 calendar year.
