Net inflow of Rs 783.49 crore on 7 July 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 783.49 crore on Monday, 7 July 2014, compared with inflow of Rs 995.22 crore on Friday, 4 July 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 783.49 crore on 7 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 6277 crore and gross sales of Rs 5493.51 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 230.28 crore into the secondary equity market on 7 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5716.82 crore and gross sales of Rs 5486.54 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 138.02 points or 0.53% to settle at 26,100.08 on that day, a record closing high.
There was a net inflow of Rs 553.21 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 7 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 560.18 crore and gross sales of Rs 6.97 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 5203.03 crore in this month so far (till 7 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13990.75 crore in June 2014.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 64998.20 crore in this calendar year so far (till 7 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
