FPIs continue buying

Net inflow of Rs 483.85 crore on 8 July 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 483.85 crore on Tuesday, 8 July 2014, compared with inflow of Rs 783.49 crore on Monday, 7 July 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 483.85 crore on 8 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5160.91 crore and gross sales of Rs 4677.06 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 475.51 crore into the secondary equity market on 8 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5148.61 crore and gross sales of Rs 4673.10 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had slumped 517.97 points or 1.98% to settle at 25,582.11 on that day, its lowest closing level since 1 July 2014.

 

There was a net inflow of Rs 8.34 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 8 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 12.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 3.96 crore.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 5686.88 crore in this month so far (till 8 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13990.75 crore in June 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 65482.10 crore in this calendar year so far (till 8 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
