Net inflow of Rs 366.33 crore on 24 July 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 366.33 crore on Thursday, 24 July 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 839.38 crore on Wednesday, 23 July 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 366.33 crore on 24 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3349.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 2982.97 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 290.79 crore into the secondary equity market on 24 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3273.75 crore and gross sales of Rs 2982.96 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 124.52 points or 0.48% to settle at 26,271.85 on that day, a record closing high.

 

There was a net inflow of Rs 75.54 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 24 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 75.55 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.01 crore.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 13165.95 crore in this month so far (till 24 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13990.75 crore in June 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 72961.10 crore in this calendar year so far (till 24 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
